WHO CAN WE HELP?
Every roof question begins in a different place. Select the situation that best fits yours, then see how The Roof Guy can help.
It is easy to forget about your roof when everything is working.
That is also the best time to take care of it.
Leaves and debris can collect in valleys. Gutters can clog. Pipe boots can deteriorate. Algae can grow across shingles. Small maintenance items can sit unnoticed for years.
We can help take care of those things while keeping an eye out for changes in the roof.
If we see something that deserves your attention, we photograph it and show you.
If everything looks good, we can tell you that too.
Buying a home often comes with a list of small maintenance items. The roof and exterior may be part of that list.
Maybe the gutters need cleaning. There is debris on the roof. The shingles have dark streaks. A few small maintenance items were mentioned during the home inspection.
These conditions do not necessarily mean something is seriously wrong. They may simply mean the property needs some attention.
If you already have a home inspection report, send it to us for a complimentary digital review. We can look at the roofing-related items and help you understand what should happen next.
Small maintenance items become much more noticeable when a home goes on the market.
Dirty siding, clogged gutters, dark roof streaks, roof debris, and other signs of deferred maintenance can affect the way a property looks before a buyer ever walks through the door.
They may also show up later in the buyer’s home inspection.
The Roof Guy can help identify practical roof and exterior maintenance before listing.
That might include gutter cleaning, roof debris removal, roof soft washing, exterior cleaning, or taking a closer look at something that deserves attention.
Preparing a home for sale usually involves more than cleaning the inside. The exterior matters too.
The Roof Guy gives you a resource for roof and exterior maintenance when a client is preparing for photography, showings, or an upcoming home inspection.
If a home inspection has already been completed, send us the report. We offer a complimentary digital review of the roofing-related findings.
That can help separate simple maintenance items from conditions that need a repair or closer inspection.
Not every roofing item you identify requires a repair.
Sometimes the gutters need to be cleaned.
Sometimes debris needs to be removed from a valley.
Sometimes a small maintenance item simply needs attention.
When you recommend that your client consult with a roofing professional, they can send the report directly to The Roof Guy.
We offer a complimentary digital review of existing home inspection reports.
We can review the roofing findings, determine whether the next step appears to be maintenance, repair, or further inspection, then help the client from there.
Customers sometimes call their insurance agent simply because they do not know who else to ask about their roof.
The Roof Guy gives you a roofing resource to send them to.
We can inspect, maintain, clean, and document roof conditions while helping the homeowner understand what actually needs attention.
Routine maintenance also gives us an opportunity to identify developing conditions before the homeowner discovers them through a leak.
When you own investment property, small problems have a way of becoming expensive at inconvenient times.
Routine roof and exterior maintenance can help keep water moving properly, keep properties presentable, and identify developing conditions before they turn into tenant calls or emergency repairs.
We can also photograph notable conditions during service, creating a useful record of the property over time.
For owners with multiple properties, recurring service can provide a more consistent way to keep up with exterior maintenance across the portfolio.
ROOF MAINTENANCE
Small things matter.
Your roof spends every day outside.
Sun, rain, wind, temperature changes, falling limbs, leaves, pine needles, and other debris all take their toll over time.
Routine maintenance gives us an opportunity to address smaller conditions before they become larger problems.
GUTTER CLEANING
Keep the water moving.
YOUR GUTTERS HAVE ONE BASIC JOB:
Get water off the roof and away from the building.
Leaves, pine needles, roofing granules, and other debris can get in the way.
When gutters clog, water can overflow or collect where it should not.
Over time, that can contribute to problems around fascia, landscaping, foundations, and other parts of the property.
The Roof Guy provides gutter cleaning with a basic visual check of the gutter system while we are there.
If we notice something unusual, we document it and show you.

ROOF SOFT WASHING
Those black streaks are not necessarily dirt.
The dark streaks commonly seen on asphalt shingle roofs are often related to organic growth.
Cleaning them does not require attacking the roof with high pressure.
The Roof Guy uses a soft-wash process designed to treat organic growth using low-pressure application rather than aggressive pressure against the shingles.
Before cleaning, we look at the condition of the roof to make sure soft washing makes sense.
Cleaning can improve the appearance of a serviceable roof affected by organic growth.
What it cannot do is fix an underlying roofing problem.
If we see a condition that should be addressed before cleaning, we will tell you.
SIDING AND EXTERIOR CLEANING
The rest of the house lives outside too.
Siding, soffits, fascia, gutter exteriors, and other exterior surfaces collect dirt, pollen, algae, mildew, and environmental buildup.
Soft washing provides a lower-pressure way to clean many of these surfaces.
Exterior cleaning may include:
Exterior cleaning can be scheduled by itself or combined with other maintenance services.
We look beyond the job we came to do.
There is an advantage to having someone who understands roofing performing roof-related maintenance.
If we are cleaning your gutters, we are still looking at the roof.
If we are removing debris from a valley, we are looking at the condition underneath it.
If we are soft washing the roof, we look at the roof before we clean it.
DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE WE MAY NOTICE:
Finding something does not automatically mean it needs work.
It means you should know about it.
We document what we see.
The Roof Guy photographs notable conditions while we work.
If we find something you should know about, we can show you rather than trying to describe something you cannot see from the ground.
Those photographs can also become useful over time.
A condition that does not require attention today can be photographed, watched, then compared during a future visit.
That turns routine maintenance into something more useful than simply checking a task off a list.
It helps create a history of the property.
Aerial photography when it helps
Andrew Buss holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for commercial drone operations.
When useful, aerial photography gives us another way to look at and document the roof.
It can provide clear views of valleys, roof slopes, penetrations, drainage areas, and sections that are difficult to see from the ground.
For recurring customers, aerial photographs can also help document how the roof changes over time.

ONE-TIME SERVICE OR ROUTINE CARE
Some homes need a visit. Others need a plan.
You can call The Roof Guy when something needs attention. Or we can help you stay ahead of it.
The Roof Guy offers individual maintenance services and recurring property-care options for customers who would rather have routine maintenance scheduled instead of remembering everything themselves.
Recurring care creates another benefit:
A history of your property.
Regular visits give us opportunities to document conditions, compare what we see with previous visits, and identify when something that was being watched has started to change.
Instead of meeting your roof for the first time when it leaks, we already know something about it.
